| Governors' Welcome We would like to add the Governors' welcome to that of the Head Teacher and Staff. The Governors of Wroughton Infant School come from all walks of life and include parents, people from the local community and those appointed by the local authority. Our role is to oversee all the actions and processes of the school, to act as critical friends and to ensure that the highest standards are achieved in all areas of school life. We are accountable to the Local Authority and Ofsted. In September 2008, Ofsted found us to be an "outstanding infant school ... where children flourish and are given an excellent start to their education". Their report showed that as well as high standards of teaching and learning, we value each pupil for their own abilities. The school puts a strong emphasis on a broad and rich curriculum, working in partnership with parents/carers and building close links to the local and wider communities. We hope that you will find our school a warm and welcoming place where children love to learn and parents feel valued. We are extremely proud of the children, the staff and everyone involved with the school that make it such a special place. We are committed to raising standards even further and look forward to working with you all to achieve this. The Governing Body of Wroughton Infant School is made up of 13 members, from 5 different categories: Community, LEA, Parent, Associate and Staff. Governors are appointed for a 4-year term This is a list of the current Governors
