Head Teacher's WelcomeWelcome to Wroughton Infant School! I hope that the information in this web site will help you to find out all you need to know about our school. Staff, children, parents and governors work together to make Wroughton Infants a happy, friendly place where everyone feels valued and safe.
Our vision for the school, which you can see in more detail on this site, is firmly based on the Every Child Matters agenda. We believe that children have the right to develop into independent, healthy and confident individuals who achieve the very best that they can. We constantly seek ways to motivate and inspire children so that learning is fun and achievement is high! It is very important that parents and the school work in partnership to provide the very best start to children’s academic lives. I hope that parents will support their children by working with them at home and by ensuring that they attend school every day that they can.
In September 2008, Ofsted inspectors found us to be an "outstanding infant school where children are given an excellent start to their education". We have also gained National Healthy School Status, the Silver Eco Award , the Foundation International School Award and the Sports Active Mark. Staff are working on further awards which reflects our commitment to providing children with an excellent education.
